Community Stitch Challenge

What is the community stitch challenge?

When lockdowns came into force all over the world towards the start of 2020, we wanted to help the textile art community stay creative and keep connected. And that’s why in March, we commissioned seven incredible artists (including Cas Holmes and Emily Jo Gibbs) to devise online workshops, which were available to everyone for free. We called the series the TextileArtist.org Community Stitch Challenge.

You can find all of the Community Stitch Challenges here for you to explore, we hope they continue to deliver a burst of inspiration.

Each challenge consists of a short video workshop and a hand stitch challenge that you can do at home over within a few hours or you can take them forward and develop them further.

Happy Stitching!
